Supply helped bring to life something that had been hard to articulate and created an experience that people and our partners really love.”

How do you make homeownership accessible to all?

Framework is dedicated to making smart homeownership the new norm nationwide by leveraging technology to reach a new generation of homebuyers and homeowners. They do this with a superior curriculum, the latest technology, dedication to their customers, and innovative relationships with lenders, brokers, and a network of nonprofit partners.

In 2019 Framework identified an opportunity to dimensionalize its offerings through an ambitious effort to build out services that support first-time homebuyers as they move through various stages of purchasing, owning, and investing in their home. Supply helped Framework articulate an inspiring platform vision that their leadership team could get behind, created a robust product plan, and then worked closely with their product team to design, develop, and deploy the Keep Homeownership desktop and mobile app experience.

Help people navigate the home buying process with greater confidence.

Framework teaches people everything they need to know about finding, buying, and owning a home. Supply worked closely with product owners and curriculum experts to design and develop a self-paced, step-by-step homebuyer education experience that helps people looking to buy move from intimidated to confident.

Make home maintenance easier.

Working closely with product owners, we conducted in-home research sessions with first-time homeowners to understand better the challenges they face after they purchase and move into their homes. Coming out of this research, we designed and developed a robust set of tools that keep new homeowners informed, organized, and prepared. These included:

  • Step-by-step Maintenance Assessment to evaluate the needed repairs for six major parts of your home
  • To-Do List for keeping track of and planning for reoccurring and irregular home maintenance projects
  • Paint Swatch Library to keep track of specialty paint colors you have used inside rooms and on the exterior of your home
  • Home Documents space to store your warranties and track when they are about to expire through automated reminders
  • Contractor Contacts list, so you can keep track of who did what, when, and how

Keep equity and accessibility top of mind within the design system.

From day one, Framework has kept equity and accessibility at the center of its mission to help people create generational wealth through homeownership. Creating a mobile-first experience for low-income first-time homebuyers was crucial to their mission, as many in this demographic rely solely on their smartphones for internet access. In addition, we designed each product experience to meet WCAG compliance standards, ensuring everyone gets equal access to content that will help them purchase their first home and begin building generational wealth.
